If you’re from Miami, you know how big of a deal Art Basel is for the city. Even if you’re not from Miami, there’s a good chance you know this. And, it’s just one part of a full week of art, called, you guessed it, Art Week, in the magic city. We can expect our schedules to be booked to the last minute during this time because it’s definitely a week we don’t want to miss a minute of, filled with color, light, and energy. Our biggest advice for managing the week? While you should definitely have a schedule, keep an open mind and keep your plans somewhat flexible. Because opportunity is everywhere, and you might end up wanting to shift things around.
This year, Art Week means more than just taking in the beautiful sights and networking. We recently hopped in an Uber because we were offered a last-minute sneak peek of Emil Alzamora’s sculptures, his motion series in particular. Between the incredible, innovative service that Uber offers and Emil’s unique sculptures, we couldn’t help but feel inspired to close out this year by thinking about the goals we want to accomplish in the year ahead. For us, being able to take an Uber to see his work represented open doors and new experiences, and how we have to be flexible to all that may come our way.
If you’re headed to Art Week in Miami, enjoy! Don’t forget to use Uber to get around – it’s honestly the fastest, most reliable, and flexible way to travel. And, who knows, you might even find yourselves as inspired as we were.
